LUCKNOW, July 19 -- Two men who attacked and robbed a woman at her house in Secretariat Colony last week, were arrested here on Friday, deputy commissioner of police (East) Shashank Singh. The men entered the house under the guise air conditioner (AC) repairmen and robbed two gold earrings that Shashi Pandey was wearing on July 9. An FIR was registered under Section 309(6) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Ghazipur police station. Taking the crime seriously, senior officers visited the scene and formed dedicated teams to track down the assailants. Singh said Kapil was a repeat offender with at least six previous cases of theft registered against him at the Ghazipur police station between 2020 and 2024.
