LUCKNOW, Dec. 7 -- The Uttar Pradesh housing and development board (Awas Vikas Parishad) witnessed a strong public turnout at its statewide property and loan fair held on Saturday, with the 15% rebate under the FCFS scheme and on-spot home loan facility emerging as the biggest attractions. The melas, organised under the instructions of housing commissioner Balkar Singh, aimed at providing instant solutions for property-related issues and providing all services for buyers in one place. Officials addressed matters such as allotment, refunds, name transfers, sale deeds, possession, and PMAY documentation on the spot. The fairs were organised across Lucknow, Meerut, Agra, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Ghaziabad and Moradabad zones.
