15,000 fingerlings released into Ganga at Shringverpur
Prayagraj, May 9 -- As part of the National Mission for clean Ganga, around 15,000 fingerlings of Indian major carp species were released into the Ganga at Shringverpur on Thursday by the central Inland fisheries research institute. The event, attended by scientists, officials, locals, and volunteers, aimed at conserving native fish populations. A pledge to keep the Ganga clean was also administered during the programme.
