135 permanent posts sanctioned for NCA at IMS-BHU
VARANASI, April 26 -- The ministry of education, government of India, has sanctioned 135 permanent positions for the National Centre of Ageing (NCA) at the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS)-BHU. These positions include nine faculty positions, with the remaining allocated for paramedical staff. Additionally, the ministry of health & family welfare sanctioned 174 contractual posts for the initial operationalisation of the National Programme for Health Care of the Elderly.
Confirming the development, Prof Anup Singh, the nodal officer for the NCA at IMS-BHU, said the NCA, which is being established under the ministry of health & family welfare, is nearing completion and is expected to become operational soon. The construction of the facility and the installation of equipment and furniture are expected to be completed by the end of June.
Prof Singh stated that the NCA at IMS-BHU is a 200-bedded tertiary care centre. It is designed to provide integrated, patient-centric services, including outpatient care, inpatient services, high-dependency units, rehabilitation, and long-term care for the elderly....
