LUCKNOW, Sept. 8 -- A 13-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by a man, who also filmed the act, in an Amethi village under Shukulbazar police station limits, police said on Sunday. The accused, who is also from the girl's village, has been detained and is being questioned, they said. Station officer (SO) of Shukulbazar police station, Abhinesh Kumar said that based on the complaint filed by the girl's father, a case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He said the girl was sent for a medical examination while the accused, Kadirul, is being further questioned about the allegations. Sharing further details, the SO said the accused had initially befriended the girl by giving her a mobile phone and started talking to her. "On September 5, at 10 pm, he called her and threatened to kill her brother if she didn't come out of her house. The girl went out under the pretext of going to the toilet, and the accused took her to a secluded place and raped her. The man also filmed the act. He threatened her that she would have to meet him whenever he called and warned her that if she told anyone, he would make the video go viral," the SO said, and added, "The girl, however, returned home crying and told her mother about the incident". Her father filed a complaint with the police, and the family demanded strict action against the accused. The police have taken the accused into custody....
