PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 25 -- Ten days after a revenue team was attacked during their attempt to remove encroachments on government land in Akbarpur village, a case has been registered against five women and six men at the Airport police station, based on the complaint of accountant Mahesh Mishra, police said. According to the complainant, on October 14, a team from the revenue department -- including deputy tehsildar Piyush Kushwaha, revenue inspector Ram Krishna Mishra, accountant Sudhir Kumar, along with SI Praveen Singh, constables Yogendra Prajapati, Shailendra Kumar, and female constable Shailsuta Singh -- visited plot number 28 in Akbarpur under Sadar tehsil to remove a shrine and other encroachments. Mishra alleged that Ashok Kumar, Ganesh, Chokhe Lal, Naresh, Ramesh, Mahesh Prasad and their wives Gudiya Devi, Rita Devi, Sudama Devi, Sarita Devi, and Rita Devi attacked the team with bricks and stones, forcing them to retreat and re-occupy the vacated land.
