LUCKNOW, March 11 -- The UP basic education department has allotted a total of 1,56,528 seats against 3,68,942 application forms to the children from economically weaker and disadvantaged sections in private schools for 2026-27 academic session under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. After the first round, 1.09 lakh seats were allotted against 2.61 lakh applications received. After the second round, 47,179 seats were allotted against 1,07,456 forms received.
