'WENT INSIDE FOR MONEY', ACCUSED IN DELHI MURDER TELLS CITY COURT
New Delhi, April 24 -- Rahul Meena, the accused in the rape and murder case of the daughter of an IRS officer in New Delhi was sent to four days in police custody on Thursday.
Meena was arrested on Wednesday from Dwarka.
During the court proceedings on Thursday, when the prosecutor asked him, "Why did you enter the house?" He said that he went there for money.
When asked about raping the victim, Meena said it was his mistake, and that he can't say anything else.
Police produced Meena in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Deepika Thakran on Thursday and sought four days custody to recover his mobile phone, to examine his family members and to verify whether there is any other person involved in the crime.
An FIR had been lodged at the Amar Colony police station in connection with the alleged crime.
Police said that Meena sneaked into the Kailash Hills house of the IRS officer using a spare key. He headed straight to the rooftop study where the victim was preparing for civil services exam. He attacked her, leaving her unconscious and raped her, officers said.P7...
