LUCKNOW, Nov. 20 -- With an eye on the state government's 'Vision 2047', the social welfare department organised a departmental stakeholder workshop at Bhagidari Bhawan in Gomti Nagar on Wednesday. Senior officials from nine state departments shared important suggestions for new visions and policy direction for a brighter future, while stress was laid on coordination between stakeholders. The workshop aimed to deliberate on necessary policy interventions towards a strong society, quality education, technological advancement, women empowerment, and sustainable development, with the collective deliberations providing a new direction to the state's long-term development agenda. Additional chief secretary (social welfare) L Venkateshwarlu inaugurated the workshop. "The 'Vision 2047' is not just a document, but a pledge for community-centred change. Our goal is to ensure that policy benefits reach every vulnerable group - women, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, children, minorities, and transgender communities," he said.
