'Veer Bal Diwas transform schools into centres of values, nat'l consciousness'
LUCKNOW, Dec. 27 -- Following the directives of the ministry of women and child development, government of India, 'Veer Bal Diwas' was observed in all government schools across the state on Friday. The event was held in around 1.32 lakh government primary, upper primary, composite, and Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls' Schools across all 75 districts, with the active participation of more than 1.48 crore students.
On the occasion, students were imbued with the values of nation-building through prayer meetings, recitation of inspirational stories of brave children, dialogue sessions, and various creative activities in schools. The main programme held in New Delhi was also digitally broadcast in schools, further reinforcing the national spirit of the event, stated a press release on Friday.
On this occasion, activities such as drawing, poetry recitation, essay writing, poster making, debates, and discussion sessions were organised in schools.
Basic education minister Sandeep Singh said that Veer Bal Diwas has helped transform schools into centres of values, courage, and national consciousness. He added that the day strengthens courage, self-confidence, and patriotism among children, conveying the message that it is determination and valor-not age-that create history.
