'Utkarsh 2026' kicks off with focus on 'heritage to dev'
LUCKNOW, Feb. 28 -- A three-day university fest, 'Utkarsh 2026', was inaugurated on Thursday at the Babu Banarasi Das Educational Group under the theme 'Virasat se Vikas Tak'.
The event was inaugurated by Neeraj Singh, chairman of the FICCI Leaders Forum, UP Chapter, and chairman of the UP Yoga Association, along with Viraj Sagar Das, president of the BBD Group and pro-chancellor of Babu Banarasi Das University.
Addressing the gathering, Das said the theme captures the journey of the nation and the university from heritage to development -- from rich heritage to limitless future.
"India is a civilisation that has given timeless knowledge to the world -- from the knowledge tradition of our religious texts like Vedas and Upanishads to the spirit of innovation. From ancient universities like Nalanda and Taxila to today's leadership in technology and space, India has always shown the world that heritage and progress can go hand in hand. Led by our Prime Minister, India is emerging as a hub of global technological innovation. Recently, India hosted the AI Impact Summit, where the PM emphasised the need to design and develop AI in the country and take it to the world."
Neeraj Singh, who was the chief guest, said a strong foundation makes a strong building.
"Today, India is counted among the leading countries when it comes to big start-ups," he added....
