LUCKNOW, Sept. 24 -- A National Conference organised by Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) on Tuesday in Alamnagar discussed a wide range of topics, including policy and governance reforms in smart policing, innovative community policing models, AI analytics, digital evidence, cyber forensics, and related legal and ethical challenges. The conference, themed "The Revolution of Intelligent Policing: From Traditional to Transformational", brought together policymakers, law enforcement leaders, academics, and technology experts to discuss the future of policing in India, emphasising smart, ethical, and community-oriented strategies. Awanish Awasthi, advisor to chief minister Yogi Adityanath was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, he highlighted the sweeping reforms in policing that have taken place in the state under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath. "The state's policing operates on an eleven-point action plan that emphasizes zero tolerance for crime, women's empowerment, cybercrime prevention, and the use of artificial intelligence. Initiatives such as Mission Shakti and the establishment of cyber units in every district reflect this commitment to safety and modernisation, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a national leader in tech-driven law enforcement," Awasthi said.
