Jaipur, Aug. 24 -- "Bharat" and "India" have been used interchangeably in the latest textbooks for the primary level in Rajasthan that were notified last month when the new session started, an analysis of the textbooks found. In the latest English book of Class V in Rajasthan, two chapters- "Colours of Bharat" and "History of Bharat's moon mission" have been added while another chapter on "Festivals of Bharat" was included in Class IV English textbook, showing an analysis of the textbooks. While the word "Bharat" has been used 18 times in "Colours of Bharat", and 12 times in "History of Bharat's Moon Mission", the use of "India" was only 1 times and 8 times in those two chapters accordingly. "In 2008, Bharat sent its very first mission to the moon, called Chandrayan-1..Bharat didn't stop here. In 2009, we launched Chandrayaan-II," read the story that had been added in History of Bharat's moon mission while "India" was only in the exercise section. Similarly, the chapter "Colours of Bharat" read, "Mrs. Sharma then took out a map of Bharat. "Look at this map," she said.
