LUCKNOW, May 17 -- HCL Technologies and Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) have got Union Cabinet's approval to set up an OSAT facility (outsourced semiconductor assembly and test) in YEIDA region near Jewar airport in Uttar Pradesh. This decision to approve the Rs.3,706 crore OSAT facility marks a significant milestone under India Semiconductor Mission.Roshni Nadar Malhotra, chairperson, HCL Technologies, on Thursday said, "We are grateful to the Honourable Prime Minister and the Government of India for their support in approving the semiconductor OSAT unit in Jewar, through our joint venture with Foxconn.
