LUCKNOW, March 23 -- President of Unaided Private Schools Association (UPSA), Anil Agarwal on Friday reiterated that private schools in UP had threatened that they won't admit students belonging to economically weaker section (EWS) under the Right to Education Act because the state government had not reimbursed their fees in the last few years. Agarwal said. "It is very disappointing that this government order (GO) says nothing about the budget for reimbursement to private schools." In this GO, the government had revised and sanctioned the budget for distribution of books and uniform mainly, he said. "Our demand was that private schools should be reimbursed as per the section 12(2) of RTE Act. That has still not been considered and till we are reimbursed at the legally correct rate, no private school will admit any child under RTE. The illegal and derisory reimbursement of Rs 450 pm will not be taken by us," he said....
