LUCKNOW, June 28 -- The Uttar Pradesh State Archaeology Directorate, under the department of culture, inaugurated a two-day summer workshop titled 'Silent Coins: Vocal History' on Friday at the seminar hall of the Chhatar Manzil in Qaiserbagh. The workshop aims to promote awareness about the importance of numismatics and archaeology among students, researchers, and the general public. Students from Lucknow, Prayagraj, Srinagar, and Varanasi attended the inaugural session. Renu Dwivedi, director of the archaeology directorate, along with chief guest and keynote speaker prof Prashant Srivastava (former Head, Department of Ancient Indian History and Archaeology, LU), Dr Vinay Kumar Singh, numismatics officer, State Museum, and Ram Vinay, excavation and exploration officer among others were present.
