'Sekhon IAF Marathon-2025' held across nine CAC locations
PRAYAGRAJ, Nov. 3 -- The Central Air Command (CAC) of the Indian Air Force organised the first edition of the 'Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025', a pan-India running event conducted across nine locations near various Air Force Stations under CAC, on Sunday.
Air Marshal PV Shivanand, senior air staff officer, CAC, flagged off the marathon at Agra and also led from the front by participating in the run, setting an inspiring example of leadership and dedication. Similarly, the air officers commanding AF Stations at Prayagraj, Gwalior, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Lucknow (BKT), Memaura, Bihta and Darbhanga simultaneously flagged off the event at their respective locations.
The 'Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025' witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of air warriors, their families, and civilians across the CAC area of responsibility (AoR). The pan-India event is dedicated to the valor, courage and immortal sacrifice of Indian Air Force personnel, especially honoring the unmatched bravery of Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC (Posthumous), the sole Param Vir Chakra recipient of the IAF, whose courage and devotion to duty continue to inspire generations of air warriors, said Wing Commander Debartho Dhar, PRO (Defence), Prayagraj region....
