'Paediatric emergency medicine key to robust healthcare system'
LUCKNOW, Aug. 2 -- The Emergency Medical Paediatric Advances and Recent Trends (EMPART-2025) conference was inaugurated on Friday at the Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS). Organised in collaboration with INDUSEM and the Academic College of Emergency Experts in India (ACEE-India), the three-day event will conclude on August 3.
According to a press release, this is the first time a national-level pediatric emergency board review course of this scale is being held in Uttar Pradesh.
Prof CM Singh, director of RMLIMS, expressed pride in hosting the event and reaffirmed the institute's commitment to becoming a national hub for pediatric emergency training and research.
The first day of the conference featured international experts, including Dr Prashant Mahajan (chairperson, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, American Academy of Pediatrics), Dr Ami Shah (USA), and Dr Shobhit Jain (Texas, USA), who delivered keynote lectures and conducted simulation-based workshops.
"Paediatric emergency medicine is the foundation of any robust healthcare system. Training young doctors in time-sensitive, life-saving skills can save countless young lives," said Dr Mahajan.
The conference is being led by Professor Neha Rai, organising secretary and general secretary of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Chapter of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics. Held under the aegis of ACEE-India and INDUSEM, the event was praised by Dr. Sagar Galwankar (CEO, INDUSEM and Professor of Emergency Medicine, Florida, USA) as the most well-organised and widely attended EMPART conference to date.
