'Op Sindoor enhanced India's standing'
Lucknow, Aug. 30 -- Former northern army commander Lt Gen (retd) DS Hooda hailed Operation Sindoor as a significant success that has enhanced India's standing as a modern military power. He emphasised the continued need for advanced, globally compatible weapons, missiles, and military hardware until full self-reliance is achieved.
He shared these insights during an interactive session titled "Operation Sindoor - Challenges Arising from the Emerging Geopolitical Scenario and the Need for Course Correction" held at the Surya Officers' Institute. The event was organised by STRIVE India, a Lucknow-based think tank comprising armed forces veterans, and brought together military leaders and defence experts.
