LUCKNOW, Sept. 28 -- Three men spotted with an assault rifle wandering in a Thakurganj residential colony here a few days ago were, in fact, police officials from Kannauj, Thakurganj SHO Om Veer Singh here clarified. A CCTV video showing the three men had created flutters after it surfaced online. The video, recorded on the night of September 23, captured one man carrying the rifle while the two others walked alongside him through the colony near the Ring Road police outpost. The men appeared to be looking at the houses. Chauhan said the team might have come for a search operation, but did not inform the local police station of its arrival.
