'KTS 4.0 will strengthen Kashi-TN ties'
VARANASI, Dec. 3 -- Union MoS for information and broadcasting and parliamentary affairs L Murugan on Tuesday said Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS 4.0), an important initiative of PM Narendra Modi, will further strengthen the centuries-old cultural ties between Kashi and Tamil Nadu.
He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a photo exhibition organised by the Central Bureau of Communication at the event that started at Namo Ghat in Varanasi during the day. The Union minister said while KTS 4.0 provides an opportunity to learn about the culture of Kashi and Tamil Nadu, it also strengthens the unity and integrity of the nation. The Union minister said the GST reforms and labour law reforms are greatly benefiting the common people of the country.
The theme of the fourth edition of the event is "Tamil Karakalam (let's learn Tamil)". Portraits of great personalities from Tamil Nadu such as sage Agastya, poets-seers Avvaiyar, Thiruvalluvar, Karaikal Ammaiyar, Ramalinga Swamigal, mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, Chakravarti Rajagopalachari, second President of India Dr S Radhakrishnan.
The portraits of inventor and industrialist GD Naidu, theoretical physicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, father of the Green Revolution in India Dr MS Swaminathan, former Indian President and Missile Man Dr APJ. Abdul Kalam among others have also been displayed at the exhibition.
Similarly, the life philosophies of Kashi's great personalities, such as Sant Kabir, Sant Ravidas, freedom fighter and educationist Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Shehnai maestro Bismillah Khan, Sitar maestro Ravi Shankar and renowned Hindi writer and poet Jai Shankar Prasad , have also been depicted through pictures and words.
The exhibition also showcases the government's public welfare policies, efforts, and schemes under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Information about the recent labour reform laws enacted by the Centre and the efforts made to reduce GST rates on various goods and services has been displayed.
