VARANASI, May 18 -- The chairman of Legislative Council Committee Ram Gopal on Saturday instructed the district food safety officer to run a continuous campaign against food adulteration and to keep an effective check on the use of recycled or reused oil throughout the city. He also directed that the committee formed by the district magistrate conduct regular random inspections of mid-day meals to prevent food adulteration, while chairing a meeting of Legislative Council Committe on food and drug safety in Varanasi on Saturday.
