'I see myself becoming like my dad'
India, June 12 -- Actor Adarsh Gourav has noticed something both surprising and endearing - he's becoming more like his father. In the run-up to Father's Day (June 15), our special series features father-child duos.
Adarsh (30) opens up about his deep sense of connection with his dad, Satyanarayan (65): "I haven't spent much time with him collectively - he was in a transferable job with the Central Bank of India - but now, I laugh just like him! We're both fond of rice and pickles. We love mimicry... I see myself becoming like him." Born in Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Adarsh moved to Mumbai in 2007 to pursue acting. His father, stationed in the city at the time, would often accompany him for auditions.
Having been born and brought up in Andhra Pradesh, Satyanarayan had led a simple life. "Initially, I was nervous about him becoming an actor, but then decided to leave it to destiny." On his part, Satyanarayan instilled discipline in his son, which Adarsh calls "a key part of my process as an actor". The proud dad shares, "I admire Adarsh's conviction and determination."...
