Washington, April 29 -- US President Donald Trump has said his second stint in the White House is significantly different from his first and that he now "runs the country and the world" and was "having fun", as he completed 100 days in office. In a wide-ranging interview with The Atlantic magazine, Trump reflected on his sledgehammer approach to tighten the US bureaucracy and curb government spending, even as he admitted a third term as president would be a "big shattering", but a "very hard thing to do". "The first time, I had two things to do-run the country and survive; I had all these crooked guys... And the second time, I run the country and the world," Trump told the magazine, which has also been in the president's direct line-of-fire, after its editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg was inadvertently added to a top-secret Signal chat group to discuss US war plans. "I'm having a lot of fun, considering what I do... You know, what I do is such serious stuff." Trump also revealed that he "had a talk" with his defence secretary Pete Hegseth, who has been in the line of fire over the Signal chat fiasco. "I think he's (Hegseth) gonna get it together... I had a talk with him, a positive talk, but I had a talk with him," said Trump. The US President insisted that the country's billionaires had aligned themselves with him because of "a higher level of respect". He also defended his deportation plans, which have seen thousands of immigrants sent out of the country amid allegations that his administration was subverting due process. "Let me tell you that nothing will ever be perfect in this world," he said.HTC...
