LUCKNOW, Nov. 25 -- Due to the absence of any active weather system in the state and the influence of cold and dry Westerly/Northwesterly Winds, temperatures across the state are expected to drop by approximately 2degC over the next two days, the weatherman said. "This will gradually increase the cold, with light to moderate fog expected in some areas at dawn, and dense fog in some areas across the Bhabhar Terai region of western Uttar Pradesh. Although the fog is likely to clear as the day progresses, the fog is expected to persist during the day," said Atul Kumar Singh, a senior scientist here at Lucknow met office. Dense fog was observed this morning in Bareilly (visibility - 00 meters), moderate fog in Kanpur, Gorakhpur, and Kushinagar, while light fog was observed in Agra, Moradabad, Ayodhya, Kushinagar, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Aligarh, and Prayagraj. Lucknow also experienced light fog in the morning, with visibility at 800 meters, he said. Day and night temperatures in the state capital were 27.2 and 12.6 degrees Celsius, respectively. The forecast for Tuesday is fog/mist early in the morning and hazy sky later. The day and night temperature will be around 26 and 12 degrees Celsius, respectively.
