LUCKNOW, Feb. 15 -- It's all over for Uttar Pradesh in Ranji Trophy this season as they lost all hopes of making it to the knockout after Karnataka beat Baroda by eight wickets to finish second in the points tally along with three others to complete the line-up of top five for the knockout.

What left for hosts and former champion Uttar Pradesh is now to finish the season on a winning note, beating Himachal in their last game, presently going on at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium here, but given the current situation it looks almost reverse with visitors enjoying cruise control to hand the home side their first loss of the season.
