India, March 6 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had failed to assess the power of agitating farmers who were capable of changing governments. He assured farmers that his party was with them and alleged that the government was unable to see and hear the suffering of millions of farmers in the country. Yadav was speaking at a kisan mahapanchayat organised by his party in the Tappal area of Aligarh. "Farmers play an important role by providing food to all. They are fighting for real issues and would not withdraw (their stir) till three black laws are taken back (a reference to the Centre's three new agriculture reform laws). The Samajwadi Party is with the farmers and will support their agitation, which is entering the 100th day," the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said in his 45-minute speech....
