LUCKNOW, Feb. 13 -- Cricket buffs faced 'entry woes' at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday - the first day of the four-day elite group Ranji Trophy match between hosts and former champions Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.

Over 50-odd fans, including some junior and senior cricketers, kept waiting at the entry gate for long as security guards had no orders to let them in.

"This is against the wishes of the BCCI, which wants fans to watch domestic matches across the country free of cost. But here, stadium authorities denied us entry," said one Rakesh Shukla, father of an under-16 cricketer.
