VARANASI, Nov. 10 -- Dr Ramesh Kumar, additional director of soil conservation and government-appointed task force officer, while reviewing various agriculture department schemes in the district on Saturday, directed district agriculture officers to carry out regular and thorough inspections to ensure farmers receive quality seeds and fertilisers as required. He instructed that if any case of substandard products or overpricing is found, strict action should be taken im-mediately against those responsible. On this occasion, deputy agriculture director Amit Jaiswal was instructed to resolve all pending farmer cases under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana without delay, ensuring that the concerned farmers receive benefits from the upcoming installment. In this regard, instructions have been given to ensure that the poorest families identified under Zero Poverty are also compulsorily benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The officials said that farmers have also been urged to immediately complete the data correction process by contacting their nearest Sahaj Jan Seva Kendra, so that further action can be taken from this level to benefit them. Furthermore, all farmers have been urged to complete their farmer registration as soon as possible.
