They alleged that the CHC staff turned her away, citing anaemia as the reason for refusing admission. The attending medical personnel reportedly advised the family to take her elsewhere for delivery but did not allegedly arrange an ambulance or provide further assistance. After waiting for some time, the family said they had no choice but to move Rukhsar to a nearby road intersection near a river. There, she delivered the child with the help of other women accompanying her. When contacted, Dr VP Shakya, superintendent of CHC Bidhuna, claimed that the woman didn't havve valid identification which, as per the doctor, is mandatory for admission. "The staff nurse asked her to be seated while she went inside to get the medical kit. But the patient and her family left before she returned," he further claimed. The newborn and the mother are reported to be stable after treatment later....
