LUCKNOW, Aug. 11 -- The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court has directed the secretary of Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) to expeditiously decide a complaint filed by the Parsvnath Planet Residents Welfare Association (RWA) against Parsvnath Developers, pending since June 2023. A single-judge bench of Justice Jaspreet Singh passed the order on August 5 on a petition moved by the RWA of Parsvnath Planet Residential Apartment, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar. The petition was filed by RWA president Alok Singh on behalf of the association. The RWA had approached UP RERA in June 2023, seeking completion of the incomplete electricity infrastructure, provision of adequate diesel generator backup, and transfer of the interest-free maintenance security deposit (IFMS) to the association. However, the complaint has remained undecided for over two years. "It is submitted that though a large number of dates have been fixed, for reasons beyond control, the aforesaid case has not yet been decided," the court observed. Stating that no purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the court said the ends of justice would be met by directing the UP RERA secretary to consider and decide the complaint without granting unnecessary adjournments....
