Haldwani, Nov. 5 -- A man employed as a nature guide at Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) was banned from reserve territory after a purported video clip uploaded by a Chandigarh-based tourist on social media showed him making comments on the taste of deer meat prompted the initiation of a detailed enquiry, forest officials said on Tuesday, adding that the probe was ongoing. According to officials, the controversy began after tourist Ratan Dhillon shared a post on X , wherein he described a gypsy safari accompanied by other tourists. He alleged that the assigned nature guide slept through much of the ride and, upon waking, chewed tobacco and threw the packet into the forest. When the tourists objected, they reportedly had to pick up the litter themselves, alleged Dhillon, who also claimed that instead of sharing insights about Corbett's biodiversity, the guide casually began talking about the "delicious" taste of deer meat....
