JHANSI, Oct. 10 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath emphasised the need for appointment of a nodal officers for all development projects exceeding Rs 1 crore, a measure aimed at ensuring quality of work and timely completion of projects through regular inspections. He was holding a review meeting at the newly built convention centre near ITI, which he also inaugurated. The CM directed authorities to release compensation to all farmers in the district for crop damage due to rain. He also said that paint made from cow dung be used for painting all govt buildings and emphasised on motivating farmers to engage in Tulsi farming, advising them to sell it to a Jhansi-based Ayurveda major for higher profits. Adityanath also inaugurated the Sale Deed Management System to make land acquisition transparent under the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority. He said this system would bring transparency to land acquisition and ensure payment is transferred to the farmers' accounts. He urged public representatives to be part of a larger campaign to free Jhansi of TB by the yearend. Instructions were issued to make gram sachivalayas more active in all gram panchayats of the district, ensuring that village people do not have to wander for their problems. District magistrate Mridul Chaudhary informed that out of 6,028 identified TB patients, 5,708 have been adopted by various organisations, and all patients are being monitored. The CM told officials that roads damaged due to excessive rain in the district be repaired immediately to make them pothole-free.
