'AAP padyatra a fight for people's rights'
Lucknow, Nov. 14 -- On the second day of the Aam Aadmi Party's 'Rozgar Do, Samajik Nyay Do' padyatra on Thursday, party's UP in-charge and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said it was not a political event, but a fight for people's rights and dignity.
The padyatra, led by Singh, started from Ayodhya on Wednesday and will cover approximately 200 kilometres over 13 days, passing through Sultanpur and Amethi before reaching Prayagraj.
On Thursday, the padyatra started from Chandpur, Harbanshpur, Dhabasmar of Ayodhya district and reached Bikapur of Ayodhya via Kalyan Bhadarsa. Singh alleged that UP has become a state with extreme unemployment and caste-based discrimination.
