'A courtesy visit': SP Maurya meets Azam
LUCKNOW, Oct. 12 -- Former minister and Apni Janata Party president Swami Prasad Maurya met Mohammad Azam Khan at his Rampur residence on Saturday. The meeting was held in private, and Maurya described it as a courtesy visit.
After the meeting, Maurya said action against Azam Khan was politically motivated and warned of consequences for those involved after the government's formation.
He also criticised the Yogi Adityanath government, saying the law and order situation had deteriorated and unemployment had peaked. Maurya condemned the closure of primary schools and described a recent incident in Bareilly as a planned conspiracy by the BJP. "The BJP is indulging in communal politics.
