Jammu, Dec. 4 -- Two civilians -- a 35-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy -- were killed and eight others injured on Tuesday when Pakistan pounded forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

"Two persons, Gulnaz and Shoaib, were killed on the spot while others eight were hurt in the Shahpur sector", said Poonch senior superintendent of police Ramesh Angral.

"Around 2.30 pm, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing of small arms and shelling with mortars in Shahpur and Kirni sectors.
