Dharamshala, Dec. 30 -- Two workers were killed and three others seriously injured on Monday after a crane suddenly fell on the workers in the industrial area of Gagret in Himachal's Una district. The incident occurred at a steel bar factory in Gagret around 10.30 am when a crane used for lifting heavy material suddenly fell, seriously injuring five workers. Immediately after the mishap, all the injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital, Gagret, where doctors declared two workers brought dead. The remaining three workers, who were in critical condition, were referred to the Una regional hospital. The deceased have been identified as Munna Kumar and Shambhu, both natives of Bihar. The injured have been identified as Bhag Singh, a resident of Mukerian in Punjab; Baljit Singh of Haroli in Una district; and Ravi Mehra, a resident of Dehra in Kangra district. Following the incident, chaos prevailed in the industrial area and panic spread among fellow workers. Upon receiving information about the accident police teams reached the spot and began investigating the cause of the accident.
