SHIMLA, Jan. 12 -- The Tibetan government- in exile on Friday rolled out a new Summer Livelihood Support Programme 2019 to provide low-interest loans to the community and help them become self-reliant.
The programme was launched by the Department of Finance of the Tibetian governemnt.
Under the programme, loans worth rs 12 crores will be provided at a minimal rate of 3% to support Tibetan summer businesses across India.
Launching the programme here on Friday, CTA president Lobsang Sangay said the support program is aimed at strengthening the self-reliance and sustainability of the Tibetan community and help in growth of viable businesses through low-interest loan service.
