Dharamshala, May 6 -- A Class 12 student died by suicide in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla after failing the board examination, police said on Tuesday. The incident occurred in Annadale area of Shimla. The deceased was reportedly under mental stress following his Himachal board exam results which were announced on Monday. Police officials said they received information about the incident through a helpline number, after which a team rushed to the spot. "Upon reaching the spot, the body was found in a flat in the Annadale area. During the preliminary inquiry, the deceased's father stated that he had been under mental stress after failing the examination. A detailed examination of the body revealed no external injury marks," police said in a statement. All proceedings at the scene were documented through photography and videography, and witness statements were recorded. "The deceased's parents have not expressed any suspicion. Further action will be taken based on post-mortem report," police added.htc...
