Srinagar-Katra Vande Bharat makes first stop at Reasi station
Jammu, Oct. 30 -- Reasi MLA Kuldeep Raj Dubey on Wednesday flagged off Srinagar-Katra Vande Bharat Express from Reasi railway station as the train made its first stop at Reasi railway station during its journey from Katra to Srinagar.
"Today, in a significant milestone for the people of Reasi district, the Srinagar-Katra Vande Bharat Express stopped for the first time at Reasi railway station, marking a new chapter in rail connectivity in the Valley," said an official spokesperson.
DDC chairman, Reasi, Saraf Singh Nag, senior divisional commercial manager, Uchit Singhal, and other senior railway officials were present on the occasion.
The train will depart from Katra railway station at 08:10 am and arrive at Reasi railway station at 08:28 am. It will then continue its journey towards Srinagar. Similarly, train will return to Reasi railway station at 4.34 pm.
Earlier, this semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express had only one intermediate stop at Banihal in Ramban district.
Senior DCM, Jammu Division, Uchit Singhal, said, "The introduction of the stop at Reasi is a direct result of persistent public demand and aims to enhance travel convenience for passengers from Reasi and surrounding areas."...
