Shimla, Dec. 24 -- Shimla district administration has put in place a special plan for law and order in the city for winter carnival, Christmas and New Year, that will remain in effect from December 24 to January 2, 2026. "We have divided Shimla city into five sectors and the overall charge of all sectors will be with additional district magistrate (ADM, law and order), Pankaj Sharma. An officer has also been appointed for each of the five sectors," said Shimla DM Anupam Kashyap on Tuesday.
