Srinagar, July 13 -- Even as intermittent rains across J&K has led to drop in day and night temperature across the union territory, the Jammu and Kashmir education minister Sakina Itoo has revised the school timings again. The schools in the municipal areas will start from 8.30 am till 2.30 pm and for the rural areas the timings have been revised from 9 am till 3 pm. Throughout the day all weather stations recorded pleasant weather and relief from the heatwave. The MeT department has predicted more rainfall in the coming days. Itoo said that school timings have been revised as there has been improvement in heatwave after rains. Srinagar recorded 30.1 degree Celsius day temperature while the city had witnessed 16.1 degrees during night two degrees below normal temperature. Tourism resort of Pahalgam observed 26.1 degrees during the day while the night temperature was recorded at 12 degree Celsius which is 0.6 degrees below normal temperature. Gulmarg recorded 21.8 day temperature which was 0.8 degrees higher than normal, however normal temperature dropped to 8.6 degree Celsius which is 3.4 degrees below normal temperature. Meanwhile MeT in its daily bulletin has predicted fresh rains in the coming days. "On Sunday there are chances of hot and humid weather with a spell of rain/thundershower/gusty winds at scattered places. From July 14-16, there could be intermittent one or two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershower at many places with intense showers/heavy rain at few places," the bulletin read....
