Chandigarh, June 7 -- Wicketkeeper-cum-batsman Gitansh Khera's first outing as a professional cricketer outside India turned out to be a providential one. The Punjab cricketer made most of his three-month stay in Sri Lanka for Tier-B three-day (first-class) cricket tournament and List-A One Day cricket tournament held in Colombo, amassing runs for Police Sports Club.

The 28-year-old batsman from Ludhiana emerged as the highest scorer in the List-A tournament scoring 318 runs and hammered 501 runs during the Tier-B three-day tournament making the right noises with the bat.
