He will start with a ranking series in Italy followed by the Asian Championships at home in February. Favourite for 65kg gold at the world championships, Punia's campaign ended with bronze at Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan in 2019, bringing his preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics into sharp focus.
