Police search locations linked to banned Tehreek-e-Hurriyat
Srinagar, Dec. 12 -- Police on Thursday carried out searches at multiple locations linked to the members of the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in the Sopore area of Jammu and Kashmir in connection withthe Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act case, the officials said.
Police said that as part of the ongoing investigation of a case under Sections 10 and 13 of the UAPA, they conducted coordinated searches at multiplelocations linked to members of the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat.
"Searches were carried out at the residential houses and premises of the Zaffar Islam, alias Yadullah Peer, of Dangerpora; Lateef Ahmad Kaloo of Hanfia Colony Arampora Sopore; Mohammad Ashraf Malik of Tawheed Bagh Sopore," police spokesman said, adding that the searches were conducted in the presence of an executive magistrate after obtaining valid search warrants from the court of special judge Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act , Sopore.
"During the operation, relevant material and electronic devices were examined, and further procedures as mandated by law are being undertaken as part of the continuing investigation," the spokesman said....
