Pigeon carrying 'threat note' to blow up Jammu railway station captured
JAMMU, Aug. 22 -- A pigeon carrying a threat note to blow up Jammu railway station was captured and security has beenbeefed up in the region, said officials. On the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, BSF guards caught a domesticated pigeon in Khatmarian in RS Pura near Indo-Pak border with a note tied to its toe reading "Jammu Station IED Blast The End".
"A couple of days ago, BSF caught a pigeon with this message in RS Pura sector. We handed it over to police," said a BSF official.
Subsequently, the Jammu police along with GRP has tightened security at the Jammu railway station.
"Pakistan is a deceitful country, always trying to foment trouble in J&K. So, any mischief can't be overlooked by us, though someone might have tried to play a prank as well," said a police officer....
