Peddler's property worth Rs.3 cr attached
Srinagar, Dec. 25 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached the property worth Rs.3 crore of an alleged drug peddler in Srinagar under the NDPS Act.
Officials said that the police in Srinagar have attached the double-storeyed residential house and double-storeyed shopping complex, along with land measuring 1 Kanal and 4 marlas, worth approximately Rs.3 crores in the city. A police spokesperson said the properties belong to drug peddler Ajaz Ahmad Mir, of Palpora Noorbagh, who is involved in a case under Section of 8/21 NDPS Act of Safakadal police station. "The attachment was carried out under the relevant provisions of NDPS Act."
The police said that during the course of investigation, it was established that the accused person had acquired the said property through "illicit proceeds generated from drug trafficking activities". htc...
