Srinagar, Jan. 2 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday identified 28 persons, who were not complying with the VPN ban, and initiated security proceedings against 20 of them, said officials. Police spokesman said that security proceedings have been initiated against 15 such individuals for non-compliance with the said orders. On December 29, 2025, the district magistrate, Baramulla, had issued prohibitory orders banning the use of unauthorized VPNs to curb misuse of online platforms, including encrypted applications.
