Srinagar, Feb. 20 -- As all the weather stations are recording above normal day temperatures, MeT has said that no major rain/snow forecast over entire J&K till the end of February. Srinagar recorded around 20.1degC, highest since 2016. "The temperature is already high in February as there has been any fresh rain and snowfall. Even due to sunny weather, the climate has completely changed in the Valley and higher temperature is now melting snow in the forests and mountains where already there hasn't been much snowfall," said Ishfaq Ahmad, who has been following changing weather patterns of Kashmir. "Similar situation happened in 2016 and also in 1993." MeT has predicted dry weather till February 25. "From February 27, 28, the weather could be partly to generally cloudy with light rain/snow at isolated places." The MeT also predicted gradual rise in minimum and maximum temperature at most places during next 7 days. Meanwhile, Faizan Arif who runs a private weather channel said that a few temperature records have already been broken today. "This does not mark the end of the heat spell - in fact, it has only just begun." Ski resort of Gulmarg also recorded 11.4degC, equals the all-time February record set on 11 February 1993. The resort recorded 9.9degC above normal....
