Bharatpur, May 8 -- A minor girl was gang raped by three men in the Bayana police station area of Bharatpur district, police said on Tuesday. The incident took place near Jheel Ka Bada in the Bayana police station area around 7pm on Monday, the police said. Police took the victim to the Community Health Centre in Bayana for a medical examination, following a complaint was registered in the matter on Tuesday, the police said. In her complaint to the police, the minor stated that her mother had gone to attend a relative's marriage in Uttar Pradesh and she was alone in her house when three youths came on a motorcycle and asked for water. Finding her alone, they forcibly took her to a secluded place, tied her hands and mouth and then gang raped her, the police said, adding that later they fled the scene leaving behind the victim. On being informed, her mother returned Bharatpur on Tuesday and the victim, along with her mother, approached the police. Chetram Sevda, the circle officer of Bayana police station, said the police have registered a complaint against three men, identified as Teetu, Vivek, resident of Nagla Khushfam village in the district, and their third unidentified accomplice under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and launched a hunt.
